Meet the Team
|
Tami
She has worked as our Patient Care Coordinator since June of 2011. She's been working in dental field for over 25 years in specialty offices and general dentistry practices. She loves our patients and their stories about family, pets, travels and life! In her free time she loves to hike with her 3 year old lab, Stormy. You can find her and Stormy most weekends blazing a new trail or at the river for a swim.
"Living in the Pacific Northwest offers so much and I love exploring all the options and possibilities out there!"
Tami's fun fact is that she plays the Native American Flute.
Brenda
Brenda attended Portland Community College for her Dental Assisting Certificate and graduated in 1996. She may be a familiar face to some of our patients as she previously assisted Dr. Kiley from 1996-2009. We welcomed her back in the front office in September of 2016.
"I have enjoyed the clinical side of the dental office and I like to put people at ease in the front when they walk in the door especially when they are nervous. Seeing someone after their teeth have been fixed and seeing them light up is the best."
Brenda loves spending time with her two boys and husband. Watching and supporting them with their sports year round. She also loves baking, gardening, traveling and playing with their new puppy, Paisley.
Kia
We welcomed Kia to the practice June of 2018! She graduated from Portland Community College's Dental Assistant Program in 2016.
"I love helping our patients to stay in good health and gain confidence from their smile."
When she isn't assisting Dr. Roberts she loves traveling with her family, cooking amazing meals, and visiting new restaurants.
Kia's fun act is that prior to moving to the United States from Moldova in 2007 she taught English to high school students.
Mindy
She joined us in February 2017 and has been an EFDA for 6 years. Mindy is Dr. Hansen's assistant. She is in the office every other Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Carlyn
Carlyn graduated in 2006 from the University of Oregon (GO DUCKS!) and then attended the Oregon Institute of Technology School of Dental Hygiene and completed the program in 2008. She has been with Hillsboro Dental Center since May of 2008! We are so happy she has called this practice her home for 10 years!
"I always enjoyed having clean teeth. I had great dental care growing up and wanted to be a part of a great team that gives great dental care to our community."
When she isn't cleaning teeth Carlyn loves outdoor activities, hiking, visiting national parks and bike riding with her family.
Carlyn's fun fact is that you will produce enough saliva to fill two swimming pools during your lifetime.
Amanda B.
Amanda graduated from Seattle Central Community College in 2010 as a Registered Dental Hygienist with Expanded Restorative Functions. She loves working with people and encouraging them in their pursuit for better health.
When she is not at work she loves painting, drawing, weight lifting, dancing, hiking and building Lego masterpieces with her son.
Amanda's fun fact is that she can do a back flip.
Amanda S.
She attended the Moreno Valley College of Dental Hygiene in Southern California. She has been practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Hillsboro Dental Center since December of 2015.
"I've been fortunate enough to volunteer my dental hygiene services to those less fortunate. By giving back to others I have found a deep and meaningful fulfillment in providing oral health care to all people regardless of income status."
A few of Amanda's hobbies/interests include reading autobiographies of rock n' rollers to books about medieval England and quantum physics.
Amanda's fun fact is that she can change her own oil and transmission fluid. She's a certified gear head.
Mari
Mari attended Pacific University in Forest Grove and completed her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2010. She started working at Hillsboro Dental Center as an on call Dental Assistant in 2008, as she completed the hygiene program in 2010 our need for a permanent hygienist opened and she took the job. She has been our permanent Friday Hygienist since December 2010.
"I love the science and the health impact of dentistry in people's life."
When she isn't working all week, she loves mountaineering, rock climbing, weight lifting and travelling.
Mari's fun fact is that she is an associate with Portland Mountain Rescue and working towards her wilderness responder qualifications.
